Most IEPE sensors require a stable bias current — typically 2–10 mA — to power the internal charge amplifier and set the DC operating point before AC signal coupling. Without a clean supply, the noise floor of the measurement chain is set by the power source, not the sensor. TSP series conditioners hold excitation current to 4 mA with low ripple, keeping the noise contribution below the sensor’s own self-noise.
The single-channel TSP 02 suits portable field setups: connect one accelerometer, connect the output to any DAQ or oscilloscope with a BNC input, and begin acquiring. The four-channel TSP 04 is the practical choice for multi-point resonance surveys, mode shape measurements, or any test requiring simultaneous signals from several sensors. Both units are compatible with PhonoVibe DAQ systems, third-party data recorders, and standalone spectrum analysers.
